Special Worship Services

In addition to our regular Sunday worship services, we have special worship services during the year.

*On Sunday evening, November 25th, we will be hosting a Taize' Service in partnership with Calvary Lutheran Church. The service is patterned after a religious community in Taize' France.  This community is comprised of both protestant and catholic members.  They began this community in 1940 and helped Jews escape Nazi Germany.  The war interrupted their service. However, in 1960 they changed their focus to young people.  Today, young people flock to this community to attend worship and retreats. They now average 100,000 pilgrims each year!.

The service is set with a quiet, meditative atmosphere in which simple songs are sung, all based on scripture. There will be bible readings, possibly in other languages to mark the international nature of the Taize' Community. The service will emphasize the scripture that leads us into Advent and will help us prepare for the coming Holiday. There is no sermon or message preached. Instead there will be a quiet time for individual prayer and Meditation. The service is scheduled to begin at 7PM. Please join us for this unique experience.

*The Community Remembrance Service will be held at 6:30pm on November 27th (Tuesday)

During Advent we have a special candle light Christmas Eve service of Lessons and Carols.

During Lent we have a special Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday service.
